well i'm buying a used car from a guy and he got his paint job done at macco..need i say more? well the taped it up pretty bad, and there's paint all over the rubber/plastic part of the car where the seals, and windows are. what's the best way to get rid of this without damaging the seals, rubber?

 

buy new ones or repaint them.

ive had luck if its not to tight to use laquer thinner/paint remover and q tips. Try that. If not razor blades and meticulous working withought slicing through works as well.

 

yea i would use a good paint remover from a painting supply store go in and tell them your scenario and they will point you to the right product, you may be able to get a can of 3m general purpose adhesive remover to work as long as the paint hasnt been on for a while

 

paint them, ive painted the moldings on every car that ive had whether it be due to fading,painted, or ugly chrome... all turned out great....i suggest painting them
