Removing lost motion assembly OBD-0 B16
Hey guys, basically here is my problem: I just recieved my port/polished head back from the machine shop, it was taken apart and cleaned thoroughly, as well as milled .004. I suspect they did not soak the lost motion assembly in oil before reassembly since the guy at the machine shop didn't seem to know what VTEC was, nor did he like it being there (more work for him). However this was the only reputable machine shop in my area.
Here's what I need to know:
How do I go about removing the lost motion assembly, do I need any special tools? I have a shop manual for a B16 (on the computer) but it does not go into detail about how to remove the lost motion assembly. Are there any washers, gaskets, o-rings, etc that will need replaced after removing the LMA? If so is there a part number available?
Also when I go to install this new head is there anything I should watch out for in particular? This is my first time removing the head of a DOHC VTEC motor so I want to do it right.
Thanks

just take the **** apart and soak them and then put it back to gather just like you took it apart. it is real simple, just pull the three allen head bolts out of the side of the head, two on the driver side and one on the passenger and then undo the vtec solenoid. push the shafts out far unaff so you can grab them and pull them out. then remember witch place the rockers came out, soak the LMA. then put it back to gather. i like to take scotch bright and scuff the rockers and the cam caps and head. hope this helps
