Default Can my b16 run with obd2 SOHC ecu?

Im building my b16 soon and i was wondering if i could just use my factory ecu to crank and break in the motor until i get a conversion harness and p28 uberdata. The b16 will be built back to stock, using pr3 pistons. My car is a '97 civic with a d16y8.
