Engine won't start until the check engine light goes off.
Sometimes when we try to start the car it won't start. The check engine light will be on. You have to wait until the check engine light goes off. You can turn the key and it will turn over like its going to start, but it will never start. not until the check engine light goes off.
Anybody know what this might be from?..... I don't know why it does that. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Just a shot in the dark but, while your ECU is testing the CEL, the fuel pump is also priming, maybe your pump is on the way out and takes longer to get pressure built up, this is too simple and is probly not the fix.

Have you checked your mian relay for cracked solder joints?

Bad capacitors and/or damaged traces from bad capacitors in the ECU. Pull out the ECU and take the cover off both sides. See if any of the electrolytic capacitors are swollen or have leaked. If the board is not damaged, you can replace the capacitors and it may be OK. If the board is damaged, I'd look for a new ECU.

Does the fuel pump prime when you turn the key to position 2? You'll hear the main relay (located under the driver dash, below the fuse panel) click once when you turn the key to position 1, then it should click again and prime the fuel pump on position 2. If your fuel pump is not priming, main relay could be the problem as well. I JUST had this exact issue and resolved it with an ECU. That was the problem, it was providing ground only occasionally. Sometimes I'd wait a minute, sometimes I'd wait an hour before it kicked.
Where did you get this remanufactured ECU?

it will only click once while in the run position I did replace the relay tying two different ones I did get the car to start on two different days but the let it sit for a couple of hrs and bock to no start
I got the ecu from orileys auto parts so I'm gonna have them warranty the ecm and see what happens

If you're not hearing the main relay clicks, give the lower dashboard near where the main relay is a whack or two. This often works as a temporary fix / theft deterrent.

yes I replaced all ground wires and cleaned the ground at the thermostat and checked for high resistance no issue found I have 3 different main relays that I've been swapping out
all of the only click once I'm getting power to all wire except the yel/grn wire to engage the fuel pump I can jump it over and it will work but the inj are not getting ground
signal from ecu to fire

You're gonna have a long battle ahead of you here. There's a VERY SLIM chance you got a dud ECU, but possible. This is exactly like what I recently went through. So if oreillys exchanges for another and you still have this problem, you'll need to check all your wiring between your main relay and ECU plugs.
