i just bought a miller 180sd last week but no nothing about tig welding. been welding mig for a while though. i was wondering if there was any site that has helpful hints for beginers. just to get the fundamental and how tos at least.

 

Do 3 things....
1. BE PATIENT! HAVE TONS OF PATIENCE!
2. Look thorugh your owners manual it came with, and it will show you the basic procedures.
3. HAVE FUN AND DONT BLOW ANYTHING UP!

i believe miller has their own forums. i have had the same welder for a few months now and it suits all my needs just fine.

when welding, do you weld in a circular motion or just straight down the line? i'm trying to figure out how the fish scale forms.
