d16y8 Cam install question
When i go to install my crower camshaft which I will be receiving this week, how can I take the Timing Belt off the cam gear in order to remove the cam? Basically I'm saying will i be able to reach the tensioner just by removing the upper tb cover, which is held by the Valvecover, or do I have to take the crankpulley and lower timing belt cover off?
Loosen the bolt to cam gear, take it off
Tap cam gear off of cam with belt attached, zip tie belt/cam to keep them locked together
Provide tension on the belt while swapping cam (block of wood..anything)
Set new cam in, put cam gear back on with timing belt tensioned
