Default how much octane??

sup fellas, i was just wondering if anybody had any suggestions on what octane rating to use with about 13.3:1 c/r ? my new motor has already been intalled and its gonna be ready to start up soon. i was going to use VP 110 (PURPLE), but my buddies friend was telling me that 110 is still not enough for 13.3:1 c/r and that the timing would have to be pulled way back?? this guys telling me to run vp c14!
it kinda sounds like this guys kinda full of ish, but what are your suggestions?? is 110 octane good enough?

with good tuning it shouldn't be a problem.

With "good" tuning you could prob. make it run on 93, just no BHP. If you want the the full potential of the motor use the C-14. You obviously selected the 13.3-1 comp. ratio, don't low-ball it now, your friend knows what he is talking about.

well i wasnt planning to be a cheap *** and use 93 octane, i was planning on using the vp 110 octane. the dude who told me to run the c14 wasnt my friend, but a friend of a friend. the reason why i was not sure to trust him cause his car only runs 14.6 in the quarter and he claims his motor is "built". there are thousands of people who talk the talk, but very few that can walk the walk.
this is my first motor build with over 12:1 c/r and i just wanted to be safe by asking people who know what they're talking about and not some dude with a slow *** car. but thanks man, i probably will end up using the c14 now

use F&l racing fuel sp3 118 octane its oxygenated which will give you more power my homie dynoed his 2.0l with this and made 235 at do it dyno compared to 231 on my setup with same super duper wisco pistons and its cheaper than c16 vp at only $35 for 5 gallons.
