New Engine 96 prelude
I have a 96 prelude h23 non-Vtec with 192,000 miles on it that i think is burning oil. instead of buying a new car and to avoid car payments, im going to put a new engine in it. I want to put turbo on the new engine. what is the best engine to do this with without spending ALL my money?
Its burning enough to be irritating. I keep a bottle of oil in back seat. this is the situation.
i myself have little knowledge of a my prelude but my step father is a mechanic so im trying to buy a different engine for the car than an H23. i wanted a little more power and as mentioned above. good turbo compatibility.

Or just get any low mileage f-series block from a junkyard, slap your h23 head on it and boost away...

I have a perfectly fine h23 engine if you want it. I swapped some bolt on parts from the h23 to my h22 I am putting in. The only problem is that the transmission (5spd) was giving me some issues. I looked into getting it repaired and the cost was too high and I wanted to get a VTEC anyway, just gave me an excuse
I am located in NJ if you are interested... I could probably arrange some transportation (if you are in VA, especially north-east VA) and wouldn't charge much for the engine.
