Australian 2000 Type R pistons and JDM ITR 98 spec Piston
Hi GUys,
I'm wondering if there are any differences with this? And just in general of there are any differences between with JDM and Australian Type R in general? I do know that JDM has more power but in terms of parts etc any issues with compatibility? In this case the Pistons? Thanks

The UKDM and JDM cars share the same pistons..... your compression ratio for the 18C6 should be 11.1:1
Our USDM cars by comparison are a "low" 10.6:1
The difference from what I recall for your "lost" power is due to the emissions. As a result the UKDM car does not run the JDM 4-1 SS header/short cat. converter.
Please correct me if I am wrong....

No it's correct, all Euro spec ITR's get basically the same engine as JDM, but without the 4-1 header, and we get 15x6" wheels instead of 16x7" Same design though. Engine code is B18C6 on Euro spec, and B18C7 in Australia I believe.
