Default 700 miles on ACT XTSS clutch and streetlite flywheel, and today its grinding??????

I have been driving my car with my new engine and new clutch for 2 weeks now.
I'm using an ACT XTSS clutch (street disc with extreme pressure plate) and ACT streetlite flywheel. Well i have been driving the car for over 2 weeks now, and have put roughly 700miles on this setup. Today, i'm leaving my friends shop, i start the car, push the clutch in, put the car in gear, release the clutch, and its making a horrible grinding noise??? The noise goes away when your cruising in gear, so i know its not the trans...It only makes the noise when you slip the clutch. Shifting from gear to gear i really dont hear it, only when i'm in 1st and i start from a standstill. It sounds like metal to metal... I've been shifting very easy with the car, and have only shifted it fast last friday at the dragstrip. Is it possible i wore the clutch down that fast??? I guess i'm going to have to pull the trans tomorrow to see what is going on, but has anyone ever had this happen to them???

I've got 3K on the exact same parts (clutch, flywheel) and no probs. I wouldn't drive it like that at all (obviously) until you figure out the problem. Maybe a bolt wiggled loose? I'd tear it down and look at it

how much power are you making with it?
I ran my car at the dragstrip 2 days before this noise started. I did do a couple of 4k lauches with 7psi of boost with 24.5" tall slicks... The car is putting out a lot of hp... Flywheel bolts were torqued/locktighted. clutch bolts were torqued to spec. All new bolts...I'm not going to drive it, i'm going to pull the trans tomorrow night.

Right now only about 300whp, but once the EMS is fired up (early July) 400whp is my goal

You're not gonna know what's going on without looking at it. My bet is something came loose

you were dead on.
I pulled the tran last night. The throw-out bearing looked good. Spins smoothly. The pressure plate looked good. And the clutch disc looked good also. When i took the clutch/pressure plate off i found my problem. 2 of the flywheel bolts backed themselves out and starting rubbing the center metal on the clutch disc. The weird thing is i torqued and locktighted them??? Well atleast i know what it is, i ordered new bolts that will be here tomorrow... I'm guessing the 7psi launches didnt help... I'm just happy i didnt drive it much and caught it in time before something really got damaged.
Thanks for the replies
