i understand that eibach springs are slightly progressive rate, and when paired up with koni's they are very good. but what about when they compare to coilovers assembles like apex'i n1 or teins. those springs are linear........


soo i guess im really just askin for the pro and cons for linear and progressive spring.

 

for daily driving progress rates, make for a nice plush ride and better handeling, hence the "progressive", they start out at a low rate, then as compressed increase in spring rates.

now progressive springs create unceartianty when used in really hard driving.

 

eibach makes linear springs which i believe are the ERS. not 100% correct sure but thats what i thought

Correct. They come in a ton of different free lengths, ID's, rates, etc. They are more of a coil over type of spring and not an OE replacement spring like a Pro-Kit or Sportline.

 

progressive are good overall on the streets. If you hit a fatty pothole, your rims wont be trash...they do a way better job absorbing shock. You car wont feel like its going to rattle apart.

however, linear will definatly spank on progressive badly.
