ATTN: WW RS Kitted Ef's!!! How To Install Door Caps?
Hey guys
I got my WW RS fiberglass body kit, complete kit with the door caps. I went to install it today, everything went pretty dam smooth and lined up great, did the front and rear bumpers and they were cake to line up and the sides took a bit because I was by myself but I got them nicely hooked on there, then came the door caps.....
How are they supposed to go on? Like at the bottom of the cap on the inside theres that little lip that I thought you just put your double sided tape ot adhesive on and stick the thing to the door, but when I went to line it up, I noticed how far out the bottom of the cap stuck out from the car and was not flush with the sides
I then noticed that maybe this lip was supposed to tuck under the door and attach to the inside of the bottom of the door, seems like it would make it flush, but you cant get it on unless you take off te door right because to get the lip under and up......
Im actually totally lost and I need some help
Pictures would be fantastic
Ive got 3m double sided tape, kick *** outdoor quickdry adhesive, velcro strips lol
Let me know guy

lol thats not the question, does the lip at the bottom of the cap go under the door and it attaches on the inside of the door, if so, how to you ge the whole lip under the door without removing it since when you open the door the corner goes behind the fender....
HM, my wings west kit is urethane, not fiberglass, the door caps just stick on providing you have already removed your moldings. No part of the cap should tuck under the door, it takes about 2 minutes to put the door cap on correctly, just test fit it first before you stick it on.
ya Ive got shaved mouldings so it should jsut stick on, I didnt really look but Im guessing its about 1 1/2" above the flush line of the side skirt
I dunno, Im drunk and my girls horny

And your wasting time on here asking how to put on a door cap? I think you have your priorities mixed up.

you have to remove the side skirt and door rubber molding. then use adheasion promoter and a hair dryer (or make sure it warm out) then put it on.
sorry, double sided tape and make sure you line it up right and towards the back, so when you open the door they don't rub

I've done the stick-on way that typically has to be repeated each 8 months to keep it on good.
Or the way the bodyshop did it, they drilled metal screws through the fiberglass door caps and then fiberglassed over the holes, covering the screws.

I just wanna know if it just sticks on the door or if the lip has to go under
you guys all had when your door was bare it was a sharp lip on the door itself at the bottom right?
