Default Are the H motors still produced?

Just wondering. This includes any vehicle around the world.

i dont think so. i only remember them coming on 93-96 preludes(VTEC model).97-01 and the 1st gen odyssey. i think it was the first gen. the ugly ones that not many people bought.

Those where F series 96-98 very ugly

Wat wud be the best thing to do to renew an H series such as the H22 keep it alive the longest? Rebuilding it?

they stopped makin h series in '01. depending on mileage and if you have the motor out i would rebuild it with new bearings, rings, pistons, and valve train. but that gets pricey. however you can get it to pretty much new condition. much sure all your sensors and pumps are effectively working as well.

Just because they stoped making the lude doesn't mean that the H series isnt still alive. Honda still has to produce the engine for atleast 10 years after they discontinue a model, just as every auto manufacture must. They still make B18c5s, B16a2s, ect. So you can buy a band new h22a directly from Honda, but it will cost you a pretty penny

oo yea, i meant engines that are put in production cars. Dont forget about all the accords around the world that used H motors. i also consider the f20b to be like half an H engine. The head is basically the same anyway.

yes you can still get new H series engines.

manufacturers must provide replacement parts to the market for ten years after production ends.

therefor, 2010 would be the last year you can get a new off the line H22a4 from Honda.
