Hey guys... i have a 97 JDM ITR motor in my eg hatch... just recently put in Skunk2 stage 2 camshaft, springs and retainer, also tune with Hondata 200... the problem is that when i throttle at high speed, in 5th gear going into 4800 rpm where vtec kicks, it chokes... it runs fine and strong all the way to the point where vtec is suppose to kick.... what's wrong here... 1st, 2nd,3rd and 4th, vtec kicks in flawlessley... it's just when i'm in 5th gear driving normal, and speeding up to pass slow cars... chokes at 4800rpm, and wouldn't let me any futher than 90-95mph... HELP a FELLA OUT... THANKS IN ADVANCE.... BTW, I'm using a P28 ecu

 

Hmm... I dunno if this relates, but when I was a little low on oil. It seemed like my car was missing really bad after vtec enguaged. It was vtec enguaging and disenguaging. Check your oil maybe ?

I changed my vtec crossover today to 5500rpm and the engine still stalls @ 4800rpm WTF.... i'm begining to think that it's not my my vtec... what the heck is going on here??? REALLY NEED HELP....
