is it worth the time and money to do a ls/vtec in a 93 hatchback. and if so what bottom end and head would be the best?

that's still no damn excuse for not reading the rules. has it ever occurred to you that some people been on this site long enough that they are sick and tired of the junk that clouds up the forum, and have to sift thru garbage post after garbage post just to get to something good? Or are tired of having to answer repetitive question after question, when the information is right there in front of them but were too damn lazy, or felt that they were "special"? I know i am.

Only you can answer this question. While a used stick of chewing gum chewed by Elvis Presley may be worth $10,000 to Joe Blow, its certainly not worth $0.02 to me.

People are going crazy with building LSVTEC motors these days. Spending money hand over fist to build them up and leave no stone unturned. While that's fine and dandy, people are over looking why people started doing them in the 1st place.

People were putting them together as a low cost alternative to obtain the power of the B18C1/5. One could simply modify what was necessary, assemble a B16A VTEC head on a B18A/B Block and get near or more power than the B18C1/5 these pricey motors were costing. If you can afford to build one up with all the cool parts from a to z, why not just Buy a B18C5 swap and be done with it? then there is another take. Why not build one up for the sence of accomplishment, and learn something. The choice is yours

H-T a$$holes.

To answer the question, an LS block and B16 head is a common combination. You should search for "lsvtec" not "ls vtec" or "ls/vtec" when you do the search.
