I got a BBK ssi intake manifold thats 70 MM bore. And I bought the throttle body, but thats not going to be in for a long time apperently, so I was wondering if it is possible to mount the stock throttle body on a different sized intake manifold and if it is, will that cause problems?

But before I install anything, I heard that the stock manifold is just as good. Is this true? because if it is, I could sell the manifold and cancel the throttle body order and buy something else.

yea you can use a stock TB and that intake manifold... but why not just run the new 70mm.. its not going to hurt you that bad...

 

It might cause some idle problems and power loss.

He said that the new TB won't be in for a while.

 

Yeah, I ordered it like 2 months ago .. IDK I lost count haha. But I am in constant contact with the store I ordered it for and they are tellin me that BBk had a flaw in their throttle body that they were fixing and they are JUSt now re-producing the new throttle bodys so it should be in soon.

But after I have the TB and the manifold installed will that be a power loss? or will I only lose power if I have the stock TB on the bbk manifold?
