the heads probably fixable, but for the price you might be better off with a new one. This is exactly why i LOVE my crower valves. I have beant more than 5-6 valves on 2 different occasions due to piston contact, and have NEVER broken a valve. Ive bent them in half and broken guides but NEVER broken a valve. Knocks on wood.lol

Damn you need to clay your motors before building them if you are having contact like that!
I run Ferrea SS valves, and have zero problems! I run big cams and high compression and no valve to piston contact(However I check my clearances).
Good luck!

It's about right if you include port work and other goodies

I never said I didnt clay my motors
I always clay my motors. One incident was unexplainable a year or so go. after doing a pull, i lost compression in 1 cylinder and bent one exhauast valve. The other occassion was a few weeks ago when my stock ls rod let go, and the piston smacked into the valves. Rod broke right where the burn marks were left from the UNEXPERIENCED machine shop burning them when pressing on/off my pistons. I didnt think it would matter too much for the power i was putting down, however i guess 9200 rpm does make a difference.
