Default have a quick ecu question

will an ecu from a 99 prelude work on a 01 prelude?, thanks? didn't' know about the obd2a/ob2b years.

All 1996-2001 preludes are OBD2A

I do not think that a 96 ecu will work on a 99-01 prelude, hell do not think that a 96 ecu from a 4 gen will work on a 5 gen without some modification. I though I read something about OBD2a and OBD2b a while back in this forum. do a search.

'99-'01 should be compatible. '97 and '98 are somewhat different due to emissions system changes.
