brakes feel spongy even after bleeding them?
this is the same 95 2.2l accord that i have been working on, and i thought that the brakes just had air in them, but today i replaced the pads and bleed them, and it didn't change at all.
basically what happens is the pedal will just gradually go to the floor. if i slam on them they work fine, but if i am stopping slow and then slam on them they are not really there. its kinda nerve racking driving like this, so if any of ya have any ideas i would love to hear them.

PS i think i may be the master cyl. that is causing the problems but i am by no means an expert.

my petal height did not come back after my replacement of worn front pads and repeated bleeding. i have rear shoes. i had no leaks and no fluid consumption anywhere.
i did have excessive emerg. brake travel but thought nothing of it at the time.
had checked rear shoes and saw virtually no wear even after 50k miles, but still lived with low petal a while.
still puzzled, i manually adjusted the rear shoes, not really expecting much of an improvement.
sucess!!!! petal height came up..the amount i guess a half to an inch.
emerg. brake now is 2 or 3 clicks maximum.
adjust. rear shoes was answer for me.

like rub says replace brake master asap it leaks internally thus cannot hold pressure and a word of advice that could save your life
do not slam on the brake hard like you stated because one of theses times they wont be there the pedal will go directly to floor if cylinder is bad enough...
make sure you bleed master cylinder on bench before installing it

I agree...master cylinder, just replaced mine,it's pretty simple.Make sure you bench bleed it though or you'll have a hella lot of air in your lines!Mine was $90 at O'reily and got back $30 for my core...well worth it.
