Well Ill try. The motor that was yanked out was a b18c-r and it was pretty fun then. Once the engine hit 5500 bam the vtec would kick in and you could feel the pull ok.
Now with 212 whp and almost 180tq. matched with the 6 speed tranny the car launches relatively easier than the b and pulls way harder, i think the 6 speed is the key to the easier launches btw. The feel you get when a type r motor hits vtec is what this thing pulls like from 2000 rpm and up.
Typical highway driving at speeds around 80 mph and punching it in 6th at 4000-ish rpm the car still pulls hard. If you drop a gear at 80mph and punch it the car has to "driven" as it wants to get away from you.
Last year I drove this car at a few autox events and I had to really feather the gas pedal exiting corners or the r compounds would spin like mad...were talking exiting a corner at 3000 rpm and NOT being able to get out 3/4 throttle much less full throttle.
No time slips yet.

Hah. Good question.
Well both these cars started out as r&d projects for a shop out in Co. which saved us some flow....in the beginning.
7500 bucks included things like a k-pro for one car and an aem ems for the other, unlimited dyno time (practically) 11.1 pistons, custom header, light weight flywheel, stage2 clutch and the understanding that ANYTHING that goes wrong with these cars will be fixed by them blah blah.
Well theyve been working at keeping there end up but things take forever to get corrected sometimes....and thats the price of frebbies I reckon but downtime really sucks.
THe mounts in the cars are more or less the feel you get with stock mounts (mostly cause there stock mounts lol) instead of the teeth jarring type mounts.
Most guys on k20a.org spend around 9000 on up for the swap. If you have the time and the place to do the swap (I got no time) the cost are quite a bit cheaper.
