Default Brake light

I hav noticed for the past coule weeks that my brake ligh is always on. I havent had time to take it to the shop or tolook at it due to work. I checked the brake fluid to see if it was a indicator to see it i need to add more and that was fine. Could it be cuz my brake ads might need to be replaced? Itsstarting to concern me can some one please tell me whats wrong.

The one on your dash just means the parking brake is up...

yes i know that. It is still on though even when i put the brake down. Is there a censor that could have gotten messed up or pushed down lower to make it think that my e brake is still up or what. I have checked my brake fluids and my pads. What else could be the problem?
