Default Disappointed with new suspension, a few questions?

Ok, I just had my suspension installed (KYB AGX & Pro-Kit), and I'm greatly disappointed.

First, the drop. The rear has less than a ½" gap and the front looks like it didn't even drop, about a 1½" gap. What the hell?

Next, the alignment. After the drop, prior to doing an alignment, here's how it reads:

LF -0.7º Camber, -1.7mm Toe
RF -1.2º Camber, 1.4mm Toe
LR -1.4º Camber, 2.1mm Toe
RR -2.2º Camber, 1.0mm Toe

After Alignment:

LF -0.2mm Toe
RF -0.2mm Toe
LR 1.0mm Toe
RR 1.0mm Toe

So my questions are:
1) Would you recommend a camber kit for just my RR?
2) Should i expect the Pro-Kit to settle about an inch or was there maybe an installation mistake?
3) What strut settings are you guys using for daily driving?

the springs should settle, though it's always good to make sure they're not installed backwards.

once the ride hts equalize you dhouldn't have to worry about the camber.

Like bad monkey said, check and make sure you install the springs right way not backward. Typically the rear springs are longer than the front's. The front's should be shorter. I don't have Pro kit, but on my Tein SS they have letter F and R on the springs. You don't need to have camber kit. Mine dropped 1.5 front, and 1.3 rear, and the negative camber on all 4 tires were way out of spec. After I had alignment, the toes was corrected and I like that for a while now. There are sign of minimal wear. I believe Pro kit drop is less than Tein SS, so you shouldn't worry about camber kit.

i have kyb agx and sportlines (more drop than the pro-kit) - my rear looks a lil squatted atm, and i'm considering a camber kit for the rear. i'd give your new setup a bit of time to settle, but after a week or so, what you see is pretty much what you'll get (well you know - it may settle even more like a ford tempo after a few years haha, or the back end of a 90's four runner - but for the most part mine has stayed consistant after the one week mark). as far as handling and ride quality - i really love my setup - I ride around on setting 2 on the agx's for now.

Unfortunately, I didn't do the install, and I can't remove the springs to compare sizes. I can tell you that there were 2 different kinds of springs: one set has a constant coil spacing, the other was half tight/half gapped. The spring with the constant spacing was installed in the Front, and the others in the Rear. Anyone with a ProKit should know if that is correct or not. I'm sure I'll be back in a week to give an update.

hey,
i ran that same setup on my 94, for roughly three years. it did look like the back sagged, although when i measured front and rear was at the same height, which is what the pro-kit does. the eibachs are the only spring which doesn't really need to settle, that i am aware of.
you do seem to need a camber-kit and better alignment. do not use the ball joint type camber kit up front, they bang the hell out the wheel well even on small bumps, its disconcerting and scary to drive like that. also leaves dents and eventually holes in your wheel well, just do a search someone has lovely pictures of that.
i use the 2 setting on the agx. i believe that 1 is like factory, 2 is 50% stiffer, 3 is an additional 30% stiffer, and 4 is for the track.

Eibachs and KYB AGX, I keep the front on 4 and rear on 3. I prefer stiff suspension.

Shouldn't the progressive springs go in the front?

you realize you will cause the AGX's premature failure riding around on 4 settings all the time right?

switch em around and see what happens

the progressive spring should probably go in the back since rear spring rate usually determines the "comfort" level.

as far as why you springs are messing with you like this, i have no idea as i've never messed with the pro-kits. i'm not sure if the springs are the appropriate lengths to be able to switch them around, F-R, but it's worth a try.
