Welcome.
I too own a Milano Red Si. Mines a 2000 though but still the same. I just installed an AEM CAI. That is always a good mod to start with. Suspension is next for me.

What is the big fettish for calling them by their Honda brochure color names?

Why not Red SI, Blue SI, Black SI.

Whats next, you gonna call them by their color code?

dude, the guy was just curious because he bought that car.... what is wrong with that? yeah, you could call them just red, blue, and black like you said. but different shades have different names so he just wanted to know what that particular one is called.

Common as dirt!

Seriously though. The color is called Milanno Red and the color code can be found on the door jamb. There are several versions of it and the best is the one on the 97 Prelude which had a pearl coat. Any paint store will have a look-up catalog.

I just find it amusing that a simple question with a one word answer could be so incredibly complicated.

There are just too many "bad Apples" on H-T... Why must you respond if you're going to be an A$$ about it... Why are so many people so compelled to be jerks... If you don't know then just don't try to answer the question.
I think this behavior is really "RICEY"
Just so happens that RED is not RED... I mean there are SO many shades of red
Actually Honda has also Roma Red. Take black... Flemenco Black perl, Granada black perl... I'm sure we can all agree that the Si EBP is very different from the other Honda Blue(s) So this is not a bad question at all. Dude was curious. That's why you have so many people on H-T trying to ACT like they know everything cause JERKS try to make people feel stupid when they don't know something.
So Stop being A$$ Monkies and just don't reply if you don't like the question
Um, why do I have to be an a$$. I wasn't even talking about dude. I WAS ASKING A QUESTION. "WHAT IS THE FETTISH???"

And besides, you keep talking about so many shades this, so many shades that....The SI ONLY COMES IN ONE SHADE OF RED, ONE SHADE OF BLUE, AND ONE SHADE OF BLACK.

So it should be pretty obvious "if you know it all" what shade it is when someone tells you they have a "blue si" or a "black si"

The problem on honda tech is that when someone challenges or questions any accepted practices, like this fettish for color acronyms, people get all worked up and butt hurt for no good reason.

And when I asked, I wasn't trying to be an ***. I asked!

Yep, us Si owners get a bad rep here on Honda-Tech.

I hate to say it but, unfortunately most Si owners are ricers. There are a select few of us that aren't. Also it seems like most Si owners are on clubsi.com. Honda-Tech has so much more info though.
