finished my swap
i dont understand how you swapped in a type-s motor. I thought that if you use the type s or sh block, you have to use the ATTS transmission, which I assumed wouldnt work in a 4g lude. Did you fab some kind of adapter for the block and a non-atts tranny?

It is not Type S then. Type S always came with ATTS and OBD2. What OBD is your car?

That's exactly what I thought when I saw the M2B4 tranny code.

its an obd2 motor, i have an obd1 motor, it has an m2b4 tranny on it, but it is a type s. i dont have the atts tranny. the intermediate shaft was fine, and i used my old axles. i havent had any problems with it other than im throwin a abs code bc of a sensor. it was not easy by any stretch of the imagination. i had to swap some mounting brackets and rewire things to the right side. but its nice. i am using a usdm obd1 ecu with it, not the jdm one.
btw i know type s came with atts but when i got the motor it already had this tranny and saw no need to swap it back, id prefer lsd over atts anyday. it came from another ht member who had it in a civic.

That should be an SIR-S spec motor than... same motor as the Type-S but with an LSD instead of ATTS...

Are you using the correct injectors for that ecu then?

hey you know those two pipes that stick out of the tranny (it's next to the vss)...where do those hook up to and what are they for?

They hook up to power steering lines so you have less power assist when at speed and more when you are not moving... They are not necessary...

No.. Mine isn't hooked up to anything...

i looped mine off with a hose, and clamped it. however i am leaking ps fluid somewhere. i need to investigate that. but its for your power steering assist, i was gonna swap the pump from the h23 tranny to the m2b4 but they arent interchangable so i left it and my ps is fine other than im losing fluid somewhere.

currently no, i need to put the peak and holds back in but i cut the clips off too short when i soldered the obd2 clips in and i need to find a wiring harness for a h22/h23 obd1 or clip off the injector clips from one. i have shitty fuel pressure but i took some vice grips and adjusted it temporarily.i heard civic obd2 injector clips are the same? any truth to that?
