The GSX is owned by a friend of mine. Mods include Injen intake, upper and lower intercooler pipes, greddy bov, and Apexi N1 exhaust.

ITR is mine and just has an AEM CAI.

Never got to run stock vs. stock, so I don't know who would have won. Now that he has all the ic piping and the exhaust, I don't think it would be that close of a race.

 

Thats not the tail that comes w/ the GSX is it? Thats a 3000GT tail. The eclipse tail, isn't it a little different? Look at it carefully.

 

I'm pretty sure it's the stock lights. The "ECLIPSE" is missing so maybe that's why it looks different. He bought it like that.

 

The wing is a 3 piece mid wing.

 

I know. Thats the wing that comes on the 97 - 99 3000GT. The wing on an Eclipse in a one piece isn't it?

 

Those are stock eclipse tailights with the letters removed, and I have a hard time believing that a Type-R could beat a GSX stock for stock, GSX might be heavy but it has a much fatter power/torque curve.

 

With equal drivers a stock GSX will take a ITR from a standstill every time, because of the all wheel drive. The Type R MIGHT be able to catch up though on the high end because of a better power/weight ratio and higher rev limit.
