Mani for a CT-26
I just finished a mani for a CT-26 using a Lincoln Power-Mig 300. I'm not that great with tig yet but I'm getting there. All the flanges were made by hand using a die grinder, drill press and an angle grinder. What do you guys think?

what do you mean facing the wrong way? the turbo can be pointed toward the driver or passengers side.
i think it looks good, but yea, the time it took you to make that flange you could have bought one and saved money ( think of your power bill, lol)

It's not an MR2 CT26. Those were twin scroll with a five bolt DP flange. That's a four bolt, and is a single scroll from a 7M-GTE Supra or '88- '89 Celica AllTrac.
As for what's wrong with them... they're reliable turbos, but were designed in the early '80s and are archaic at best. I have one in my '92 AllTrac (it's the better twin scroll), and I hate it. Quick spool time, but on a 2.0L engine, it falls dead at 5800 RPM. Even with a 3" exhaust and a big FMIC. It's a poo turbo for a B series.

i didn't say anything was wrong with it, just for a b20a5, i'd rather go with a 14b. and as far as what direction it's facing, yes it can go either way, but on one side you have power steering and your a/c compressor, and on the other side you don't. makes more sense to me to have it going the other way.

Well as someone said it can go either way.

That's what the customer wanted. I guess he got this turbo free or had it lying around.

You're right but I didn't want to wait

It's primarily a mig machine but I used the tig section to do this.
