its pretty easy to acquire a JDM R motor, considering they have to basically throw em out after 50k.... for emission reasons.. which is pretty goddamn retarded if i may add...

can anyone tlel me what they hell they do with em? rebuild em and put em back in or sell em to other foreign countries.

Honda is required by US law to continue producing them until 10 years after the last date of manufacture. Basically you'll be able to get as many as you want (so long as you can afford it) until 2011.

The only thing that really sucks is that due to decreasing amounts of production, costs for these kinds of things skyrocket. I wouldn't be surprised to see a brand new shortblock selling for $5000 in 2010 or 2011.

No, but a Honda-Tech member who goes to Baranco Acura will get a better deal than a non-Honda-Tech member.
