Yeah no chit!! NASCAR all but blamed him for killing #3 last year. But no matter how many drives lives his belts, suits, helmets or other safety protection systems have saved they're giving him the total asre end of a torque wrench for Dale's death. I feel bad for Bill Simpson and hope he wins big!!!

Since the death of Dale the ONLY person I have felt sorry for was Simpson.

**** NASSCAR! Argh!! **** the fans too. It amazes me that Simpson has been getting death threats from deranged lunatics no doubt carrying the #3 on the back of their pickup trucks . . .

Sorry - I just can't stand people/groups who won't take responsibility for their actions.

On a brighter note I think Simpson has a pretty good case. Enough independant experts have stated the belt failure was a result of incorrect installation. Add to the the fact that NASSCAR really was looking to hurt Simpson so they kept their name clean and you have a pretty good chance of victory.

Heh, kinda makes me wish i went with a simpson camlock, costs a little more than sabelt but i feel like supporting him. NASCAR, i hope Simpson tears them a new one, it must be particularly infuriating for him since he & dale were such good friends.

I missed most of what the Announcer said on TNN, but i did hear him say, Simpson themselves have nothing to do w/ the lawsuit, so i guess someone filed it on behalf of them?

 

Bill Simpson is no longer with Simpson equipment company. I believe he resigned after Nasscar used him as a scapegoat. The equipment company does not wish to be a part of the suit expressedly, but Bill Simpson is filing with the blessing of their parent company. At least, that is how I read it about 20 minutes ago in USA Today, can't remember the exact details though. Go Simpson!
