Along with my clutch going out, I recently discovered a leaky master cylinder. My question is how important is it to replace the slave cylinder when doing the master?
This is being done on a '97 with 53k if it makes any difference.
thanks,
Matt

from my experience....if you replace one only...the other will leak.... I dunno why I have luck like this...
But I agree.... do both when one fails..... peace of mind....

If your master is bad, are you sure your clutch is really bad?
Would be worth it IMO to replace master/slave, flush/fill/bleed system, and test the clutch before pulling the trans.

No. I thought the squeak was at the fork near the slave cylinder.
