Default Electronic load detector issues?!

I just finished putting a b18b into my 93si but Ive run into a few odd snags. For one Im getting a ELD code wich what I hear is common for jdm ecus and such in vehicals that wernt equiped with an ELD however Ive tried both a p75 and my uber chipped p28(with an ls program) and both have throw this code.

The code is one thing but my starter doesnt seem to work at all. Now normaly when your starter is shot wont you still hear the click click click of the relay even if the starter wont work? I dont hear anything almost like the battery were dead but I still have lights and chime and everything.

What are your thoughts on this guys?

I can't help you much with the ELD code but the starter on the other hand I can.

When you have a problem like you described it can be a few things. First check the simple stuff like battery charge. Then check the battery and cable terminals as well as the rest of the connections in the starter circuit to be sure they are not corroded or loose. Finally you will want to check the resistance of the battery cables themselves. If all of this checks out then one of the windings in the starter is most likely bad. My guess would be the push in winding. From there you can either replace the winding or replace the whole starter. If you have never rebuilt a starter before I recommend replacement of the starter as a unit.

Good luck.

EDIT: Also one more thing. You should check the starter solenoid for continuity. If there is none when the key is turned and there is voltage getting to it then the solenoid could be the culprit.
