Default So i decided to take apart the V-AFC.....

Here are the pics..
I did it to look for a way to add a switch so I can switch the display on and off.

nah, the display is built by Futaba Corp. Apex just gets the displays from them and connects their board to it, I dont' think they even know how, I will need to call Futaba and ask them. By looking at the board it looks as I will need to tap into the board, I was thinking along the lines of tapping into a wire. I'll post what I find out. Whenever I do

No the actual display is soldered onto the board.

that would be cool to have like a smaller remote display and put the 'guts' of it somewhere else, would make mounting a bit cooler.

if you wanted to risk it, you could disconnect the display and solder wires to it and do the same to the other end, that way you could put the display anywhere. Very tedious.
