the tranny's in place. I chipped the ecu and disconnected the TCM, hooked up the battery and tried turning the ignition, but for some reason, it won't start...need help please...desperate need of help
this is on a 4th gen, but i imagine the 5th being close to the same....
there are two thick wires, 8 guage, that need to be jumped....they went into the auto shifter and were jumped when the shifter was in park, just connect them permanently....
then you also need to jump a wire to make the car think its in drive, just search under my username on how to convert to manual, i know i have written it up before....

im not sure, i just know what i did in my 4th gen....
i know i made a whole rant on how to do the manual conversion on someone else's thread a long time ago.....i start classes today, but the first time i get an extra few hours, im going to make a picture intensive writeup on this.....

Here is what I used when I did my 5th Gen SS to 5-speed swap. It will start after you splice these wires.
