How are Weapon R Coilovers compared to others?
I can get brand new Weapon R coilovers for $140, and the guy said that its just as good as all the other coilovers. He said that they mostly all ride the same, except the ebay kind. For how good he made them sound, they are a way better deal than Skunk2 Coilovers for $280. What do you think?
I believe those Weapon R ones aren't too good. They are most probably on par with Arospeed, OBX, etc.
If you want to go with the threaded sleeve type coilovers, I'd try to save some money and at least go with some Skunk2's or Ground Controls. Many people here have them and love them.

Why do you guys always need to buy the cheapest **** you can get your hands on, and expect it to be high quality as well? Ground Controls are proven to be good, and not that much more money.
Buy cheap, buy twice, in the long run that's more expensive than getting the good **** the first time.

The Weapon R circuit pro coilovers do feature a threaded sleeve for easy adjustment, but by christ they ride hard!
The spring rates are not really suitable for road use, and I am constantly bottoming out on the bump stops (I have bilstein shocks)
These springs are easily the worst mod I have done on my Accord

We're not getting mad at you.
Just want you to understand that the cheaper stuff is usually all the same. Try your best to go with the Skunk2 or Ground Control if you wan the threaded sleeve type coilover. There are a few new ones out now that are good too, but the price is similar to them. The cheaper ones are all the same really.

fyi the fact your weapon Rs are bottoming out on the bumps is because you've lowered your car too much, not because spring rates are too high (though with a brand like weapon R who knows what kinda springs you're gettin), if anything, the spring rates are too low for that kind of drop if you're riding the bumps (again, most likely due to the fact that weapon R probably has the collective knowledge in suspension design of the average 16 year old ricer).
I had Eibach springs in be4hand man with teh same ride height and they didnt bottom out once.
The spring rates are 850 lbs in the front and 650 lbs in the rear, if you knwo anything about spring rates they are damn near unstreetable! I only found this out after installation.....
The bilstein shocks need to be revalved to cope........

validates my point that weapon R (remember, the R is for racing!) probably has no idea how to build suspension parts... as for bottoming out, I don't know, just throwing possible ideas out, maybe Weapon R claims they're that rate, but who knows where they got the springs made, point is, I don't trust their stuff.
