ok heres the thing.. i might buy a prelude with a blown h23, and ill just put a new engine in so i have a few questions before i put out the money.

Can i just buy the h22 with the ecu, and everythin except tranny and just use the SI tranny it has?

Does anyone have a h22 for sale?? (ive searched)

Can anyone give me a link to a post telling you instructions on a h23 to h22 swap??( i searched and its always "h22 into civic" )

Yes, You can use your Si tranny, axels, wiring harness, etc....

HOW MUCH BETTER IS IT TO HAVE LSD?
i hear thats its not worth the extra 300, well 800 since you would need to order a tranny with the swap

 

if you aren't getting a tranny you could put in a quaife LSD in later down the road... or if you don't want to shell out the cash for that go the ghetto route and go OBX ; )

 

I've had my H22 for sale for 2 weeks now. (All new bearings, rings, Special honing for the FRM liners, startup guarantee,etc.) All the technical help you need to install it. (I did the swap) Search under NSXLR8 posts. or just PM me.

 

The H23 tranny bolts right up. (That's also what I did in the swap.)

 

i've got a H23 tranny w/ an H22 but you've gotta rev it ******* high so you dont fall out of vtec

 

that is correct. with an h23 tranny on a h22 generally youll fall out of vtec from 1st to 2nd but the rest should be fine. i have an m2b4 and love it. but if its a daily beater it may not make much difference to you. good luck
