Hello,
this is for my dad's accord wagon. The car needs a new exhaust, probably the whole cat-back.
It needs to be quiet, but more importantely CHEAP! Any suggestions?

go to a muffler shop...they can make one in an hour or 2, complelty OEM style, and will be around $250 (with a shitty muffler that will eventually fail)

I found that my regular source for parts sells the whole system pretty cheaply:
http://www.aplusparts.com
I might order from there - $84 for mid pipe, $135 for muffler... not too bad right?? I can bolt this up myself I suppose, to save money.
As for the $10 fix - been there done that - it lasted through the winter that way

bull.. duct tape dont last 30 mins let alone an entire winter... u could make an exhaust from cans, rivets and coat hanger wire but i dont think the cop who pulls u over will be impressed by ur ingenuiety
