Valve Covers for z6
As far as I know, all 92-95 Civic ex/si with the z6 came with a valvecover that has VTEC on them. I picked one up for my 98 Civic EX for 5 bucks and painted it cast coal Iron

Not true, not ALL 92-95 SI/EX valve covers had VTEC stamped on them. However, I'm not sure which ones did. You might be right that it was only 94-95.

You are correct. VTEC stamped only on the 94-95 valve covers, while for 92-93 it was simply stamped 'Honda'.

Yes, some did some didn't. I really don't think color is relevant. If your valve cover doesn't say vtec, you can always check the code stamped on the block. Lot's of threads have covered this already and the question had been answered.

That's not an ej1 92-95 (civic ex coupe) which was what they were referring to.
