Default new in this board..HELP MY CAR HESITATES--98 accord

hello, everyone..first and foremost, im new at this board. plus, i'm a girlie girl so i dont know much about cars, i put gas, i get the oil change and then i drive it that's wat i do...

lately, my car hesitates..not all the time though. i will be driving, on 3rd and then when i press on the gas...the car dsnt move...literally. so, i change gear and press harder on the gas..then i can feel the power. this dsnt happen all the time, but i wonder why this happens. im scared that one day..it will just die on me.

just an update: i just got a tune up done recently and an oil change...still, the car hesitates before and after this was done.

if someone can please help me..in basic language...i would appreciate it.

Have you checked the transmission fluid? (assuming its an auto) I'm not too familiar with the auto's but they do some crazy things from time to time. Also check the ignition timing.

i would start with some injector cleaner. go to a parts store and get "44k" made by B&G products. this **** is super strong and rather expensive but it works! also, tell us exactly what was done in the tune-up? it's prossibly that not everything was covered.

Try unjhooking your egr valve connector to see if the problem goes away.

How many miles on the car & what did that 'tune up' include? I'm gonna guess new spark plugs, maybe distributor cap & rotor, what else? Got some kinda receipt saying exactly what they did?

The EGR valve Chio's talking about is #13, black plastic round top, metal ring around the wide part. Sorta back in the center of the engine compartment between the throttle body & the valve cover. Maybe someone's got a picture showing a little better where that's located.

probably the fuel pressure regulator.....had the exact same problem on an older accord and that solved it.

the reason this would appear just recently is that is mainly happens in warmer weather and has something to do with condensation (or so i was told)

dude, i'm telling you, try the 44k. that stuff is so strong...when my friend's civic had the exact same problem this stuff curfed it. it was stumbling and bogging hella hard. ran that cleaner through and boom fixed.
