im looking at putting some new shape civic type r (ep?) seats in the 97 civic coupe, i have heard that they higher that the stock ones but does anyone know by how much ??

 

Civic Type-R seats or Civic Si seats?

Sits higher from what I have found by Searching.

You also have to swap pans or drill holes.

 

that is just a 03 si seat with the type-r stitched into it because i had them seats in my 94 coupe and thoose seats sat so high i felt like i was in a truck my knee's where on the dash but then again i didnt swith pans or anything but they do sit high ill take the pics off my cam and post them later.

but they looked great in my car and everyone noticed them right away!

 

real type-r ep3 seats say "RECARO" in red...as for the seat height...yeah they're higher...you're going to have to modify your stock rails to fit the new seats

Well, JDM EP3Rs and the newer EDM EP3Rs have the Recaros in them.

Yip older ones looked like hte posters, and the newer ones have these...
