Was going to get a Quaife LSD, then a couple days ago I noticed that when I shifted from 1st to 2nd really fast, i would hear a little wrrrrp...sorta like the gears grinded really fast (not all the time though). What's the deal?? Bad synchros? I'm not getting no LSD for a bad tranny. SO, if this turns out to be not worth fixing, I might as well get new tranny, but what kind? No Type R tranny. I plan to use for drag and auto x. I hear LS tranny has shorter gears which would benefit me for drag...what do you guys think? I tried searching but couldn't find anything.

 

Rebuild your exsisting tranny. Chances are you will buy a tranny that needs or will need work anyway.
