ok so my brother has told me that for the last 3 months hes been getting bad gas milage... i dont know why he waited that long to tell me but he did so this is what ive changed so far.


the plugs they were black and needed to be changed so thats done.. its got a b16a in it with rc270 injectors on a stock p72 ecu. and its throwing cel22 im stumped and dont know what could be giving him such bad gas milage

plz help me out i dont want him to have to sell the car because of this

 

keep it under 2k rpm.....it'll save alot of gas while looking like a grandma

 

22 VTEC pressure valve
he should be in limb mode
making him run really rich

what gas milage is he getting so we have a clue how bad it is

 

about 120 to the tank.

A.) why is he running RC270's without tuning?
B.) that code will indeed cause the car to run in limp mode where it enriches the air/fuel mixture to the point of halving your gas mileage.
C.) the combination of bigger, untuned injectors and limp mode will do that. Check the O2 sensor too: it'll probably be fouled at this point.
