I painted my engine bay laster summer with black semigloss tremclad. This year i want to paint it the same color as the car but want to prep it myself. Do i need to strip the tremclad completely off? or can i simply scuff it up and primer over top of it?

whats that? a single stage paint. or like a rust/primer paint..
i know id take off ALL of a single stage paint before i put a basecoat clearcoat on over it. or at least a good primer cause they dont do well together
