getting a set of volks..looking at the wheel locks to see which ones are good (that fit.. i believe i need tapered lugs). the Rays locks looks good, but i hear there are only a set number of total different keys...
i'm pretty paranoid so i'm trying to find a good lock that has only 1 unique key. the mcgard splinedrives are looking really good... anyone know if they fit on volks (te-37s) and if the lock/key are unique?

 

Just weld on your rims if you're really paranoid.

Seriously though - ALL wheel locks can be removed by thieves - they really are only meant to slow them down in the process. Wheel locks are no substitute for proper security measures (i.e. encasing your Type R in concrete when you're not using it).

If you like the McGuard Splinedrives - get them. Especially if you can get them for a good price.

I have volk te37s with the volk locking lugs. I orginally had a POS lug on the car (not the basic tapered lug that came with the rims) and threw them out secondary to rust. I then bought the volk lugs which are expensive but very nice. One thing I don't understand about them is the locking mechanism. 4 of the 5 lugs of each wheel are the standard hexagonal. The 5th has 7 sides (septagonal) with a notch to fit the 7 sided key. However, you'd expect the notch to come out of the lug. Instead, the notch goes in so it really does no good. Why they designed it this way I have no idea.

 

For my volks, i have a set of volk lugs, and i also have a set of muguard sdrives, doesnt match real well.. and you have to carry a different keys, but i dont mind
