Default Georgia machine shops, who are you using?

There is Eagle in Auburn and Accurate Auto Machine in Marrietta that are top notch and handle our big stuff. However, I need someone competent that isn't tied up in high end specialty work all the time. Pull someone off of a 60,000.00 top fuel motor to hone your block and your going to pay for it. So anyways, plug your faves. Central to North Ga preferrably, we're in Athens and mostly swing between here and ATL for parts and services.

there is only 2 places i would reccomend locally

1) SCOTS MACHINE SHOP
-Fayetteville
770-461-9313

He is the only one i use to hone my blocks and bore. Does an EXCELLENT job.
he usually charges $140 for a bore and hone (3 step)

2) Sunbelt
Excellent machine shop, when they want to be. They are usually busy and tied up with race cars, and they are usually triple the price of every other GA machine shop. but they do have awesome work

Out of state i would Reccomend DFE ENTERPRISES in Jacksonville Florida. he does the best machine work i have seen on the SouthEast. and hes only 4.5 hours from us.

DFE ENTERPRISES
904-378-4480 aka DONF on this site.

SHOPS TO STAY AWAY FROM
KMS aka KAUFFMAN MOTORSPORTS
-liar and a cheat. hes does SHITTY WORK

Im not sure if its eagle, but there is a shop in NA GA that does machine work, and i SWEAR it was eagle. whoever it was did my buddys block and completely fucked it up.

same with another block that i heard that shop did, they installed the thrust washers upside down and backwards

or you can always PM JIM JUSTICE

Thanks, Sunbelt is great but if your turn around time is under a year tough cookies. Funny, KMS ripped off a friend of mine over a sheet metal intake he offered to build him.

Maybe I'll give Don a call in I head down to see the old man in Daytona. Hopefully those Pro1's are still for sale.

+1 for DonF.

I think he's the only one I'd let touch my new project... or Jim Justice as recommended by him for certain things.....
