AEM CAI or Iceman CAI or Injen CAI or stock???
Which of the four opportunities is the best for a 5th gen Prelude if I want a better sound and NO power loss over the hole band?? Somebody told me that I should just remove the resonator and put in a K&N drop-in filter but if I´d find a CAI with which I won´t lose power anywhere I´d go with it! I had a look on the Injen homepage and noticed that none of the Honda test-cars (S2000, Civic Si and RSX Type-S) have got a power loss anywhere on the hole band. Will it be the same with a 5th gen Lude? Somebody in here has written that Injen doesn´t sell the CAI for the Lude anymore, is that true? The Iceman CAI should be also very good but I really don´t like its styling (especially these nasty colors of the tubing). So which of the four opportunities would you recommend??? Please gimme your opinions because I really dunno what to do because I can´t ask anybody over here in germany about it because they aren´t sold over here.
If you don't want to risk losing any power thoughtout RPM range then keep it stock. If you want more horsepower at high-RPMs (risk of torque loss) then AEM CAI. Ice-man would also be a good idea, however its narrow piping and ruff texture isn't prefered when increasing air flow - creates turbulance. I have disscussed this with many people and I always shown that I know what I'm talking about. I feel no need to explain the dynamics of why one is better than the other, just trust me. If you would really like to learn, I would suggest "search" and read the topics thoughly. Have fun, good luck!
Note: Don't ever make a desission on looks over performance unless you're making a show car. If you want performance then you might want to deal with the "ugly" colored tubing. FYI: The coloring on the tubing resists heat conductivity which increases horsepower by allowing the air flowing though intake to be more dence, therefore more oxygen to t/b, manifold, engine, etc. Sorry for the bad explaination, but I was in a hurry!

Okay, maybe this question is really dumb now but I´m just going to ask it because I want to be sure. Will I lose any power when I´m just replacing the stock filter with a K&N drop-in filter?
The H22A makes plenty of torque. I have an akimoto intake(It's not a CAI) and I can't even take my car into VTEC range when it's wet out without bunring the tires. I have never heard of anyone being disappointed with an AEM CAI.
I have a Nakayama Racing CAI and I love it. You will not be disappointed with the small gains you will get. The deep throaty H22 sounds great too, so that's always a plus. But if you do get an intake, go with a CAI, if not, leave it stock with the K&N stock replacement filter. Short Ram Intakes just suck hot air, so you're better off with stock.

If you have any other questions feel free to ask!

Thanx a lot, w00t! (and all the others) for your replies! I think I´ll just buy a K&N drop-in filter because of the reasons you´ve listed and because I´m not really looking for a big power gain because I like the engine of my Lude like it is. Or in other words, it´s fast enough for me and for german streets. If I have got any new questions I´ll post them in here!
