What REPO means?

I have seen REPO appears frequently on this board
what does it means?

Reposess.. like when u default on your car payments to the bank or whoever has the lien on your vehicle they they send the Repo Man after you (after sending you late payment slips and everything else).. if you still dont pay up..then they have the Repo man come take your car back into their possession..
