I'm hearing conflicting info on when the RSX Type R is coming out...is it later this year like Motor Trend claims or in 03 or 04 or when? Need to see when my car is going to take a huge hit in depreciation...

 

It probably won't take a huge hit...the DC2R will be a collector's item as far as I'm concerned. It may take a few years, but once the Integra becomes the next 300ZX (overblown, overweight, outrageously expensive evolution of a nimble, cheap car), people will want the old ones to remind them of what a sporty little car the Integra used to be.

 

We have argued this topic here sooo many times...Here's what we came up with so far...
1.No one knows when and if it's coming to the US for sure.
2.Dealerships will tell you anything to get you to buy something from them ASAP.
3.Until Acura officially makes a press release RE this subject, I believe nothing.
4.Even when it does come, don't expect massive depreciation of your R, because they are totally different vehicles.

I've been to three Honda dealers last week to try to check them out, but nobody has any in stock to drive.

 

Yep. When I went to acura a few months ago, the saleshole came out and asked if I wanted to sell my ITR. He said he has 3 people looking for one.
