A/T to M/T conversion

I had a quick Question, as you all know im a noob

. and just came across a 1997 civic ex for 1k even. i wanted to know what would be the best transmission swap. and would i need a new Ecu if i swaped a Manual trans.

Please help . thanks.

I would recommend the b16 tranny swap. The gear ratios are real short, and it makes the car very fun.

Yes, you do need a new ECU, among MANY other parts. The best transmission would be a manual EX transmission.

That's not going to work if he has a D series motor.
