Please help me H-T I have been scammed out of $1,525 from ebay
Update on page 3!!
I just wanted to let everyone know as a Buyer Beware caution, that I have been scammed for the above listed amount for some Mugen M7 Rims.
The auction is here. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...93222 I sent out the money on 6/9/05 and the user told me he would ship on 6/13/05. Well on 6/12/05 I received an email from another ebay user who was also bidding on the same auction I won. That user asked me why I didnt want the rims. I told that user that I did want the rims, and that I already paid for them and was waiting for them to be shipped. The user then told me that the Sellar that I won the auction from was offering him a second chance offer and to send the payment at thehyroglyphics@aol.com.
I then became suspicious of the transaction so I started notifying my bank to cancel the payment as well as paypal and ebay. I checked the auction and the picture of the M7'S was stolen from icbmotorsports.com..
On 6/13/05 it was too late and the money cleared my account.
There is now another auction up on ebay from a new username thehyroglyphics selling guess what? another set of Mugen M7's. That auction can be viewed here. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...:MT:1
The persons info is the following..
Sylvia phon
2132 erickson cir.
stockton, CA 95206
United States
(209) 982-1590
But that info was for the first auction. When I called the number to ask to speak with Sylvia I spoke with her and she told me that its her brother trying to sell rims.. Well I just wanted everyone to be aware and hopefully I will get my money back soon.
If anyone can give me some advise I would really appreciate it.
Cliff notes: Was scammed out of $1,525 auction is here http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...93222. Buyer beware of auction here http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...%3AIT its the same guy who scammed me.

I would do that too, but I think it all depends on how bad you want your money back. You can do it the long way and go to court, or the fun way and go kick their asses.

Are you sure you aren't going to get your rims? I mean, it's only been a few days since the close of the auction. You have to wait at least 7 days after the close of the auction before even filing a complaint with eBay.
Maybe the guy has multiple sets of these wheels and didn't want to pay eBay for another auction so he contacted the second highest bidder as well...
I dunno, just trying to think of some possibilities of what could be going on here.

He isn't sure if he is going to get the rims but it's seems shady. If you would read, you might catch on.

When I first saw the title of the Thread and noticed it was you,
I thought it must be 1k+ in dunk money.....
but it's car ****.
I spent, like, $300+ on my AJ XI Retro, in essence, becoz I got scammed the 1st time I tried to buy some online.
Not an Ebay transaction, so I really got fucked out of that money, but YAH.
I learned my lesson.
Do you have a credit card? becoz next time something like this happens, you can put a stop payment, unlike having funds taken directly from your checking account...
Just keep sweatin Ebay about the bad seller,
they usually do something about it, like, ban the seller (at least).
Good luck,bro

I remember seeing that car on honda tech if not G2ic a few times..... that sucks if hes a scammer, that G2 was/is pimp. but yeah, i hope he gets fucked in the *** for stealing that much, or at least trying to. i wouldnt let him get away with that kinda $$$
the previous owner of that DA is on the board, his name is JUNIOR_jdmtheory, ask him if he has info as to who bought the car, might be the same person trying to scam you.
