H23 Motor and a F22 Tranny?
What is your honest opinion on this type of swap, this is the way i am leaning to put in my 91 accord LX. Just curious, I like to see the Pros and the Cons of this swap and if anyone has done this.
Thanks
Thanks

Soo... its possible to install a F series Tranny on a H motor !!??? I tough you always had to match the first letter to get the tranny compatible with the motor !!????
WEll...... I didn't though this was possible... because actualy I have a F22B1 motor installed in my Prelude 93.. I recently bought a H23A1 and Im planning on rebuilding the internal. So in any case... using a F22B tranny on a H23 will be a lost of power for sure... but this all depend on what you wanna do with your car... If you are a daily driver that doesn't care too much about brute power and would like to be ecomical on fuel... thats the way to do !!! I will probably go with this myself......
Also a good thing.... I pretty sure that the H23A tranny with a H23A1 motor only get your car at something like 90KMH at the end of second gear !!! So if you match a F22B ( with longer ratio ) with a H23... the second gear will make blow the 100KMH on the second gear which is a nice thing for 0-100 record In my opinion....
But in either case... your car will be a little bit slower..... but..... your car is allready fast enought to burst speed limit !!!!!
)
Take care

Well they way i am looking at it is that the f22 that i have is using oil and i really wanted to get a new motor and i have decided to go with the h23, i know that it wont be super fast but it wont be slower either, i just figured keep the tranny with the new motor and enjoy the gas milage. LOL but anyways thanks

Well I have an H23 tranny attached to my F23 Block/H22 Head... H/F series are very similar and the trannies are interchangeable...
