Does anyone know if it is a bolton???

the itr/dc2 rack (all of them are the same, 16:1, 2.98 turns ltl) is a bolt in to the ego chassis. if you have power steering, you will need to eliminate the one small line on the stock civic rack (this is the small line that goes to the small nipple on the p/s fluid resevoir)
a few years ago i did this on my 94 civic si. currently i am looking into elec power steering and a s2k rack.

My EG9 have power steering... that is a complete removal, right?? the DC2 power steering circuit does not have that line, right??
I will install only the steering rack for now, but later i will install the complete circuit (pump, pipes, reservoir)...

as far as swapping the integra rack, it is a complete unbolt the old one, bolt in the new one affair. the civic rack has 3 p/s line, the integra one has 2. so, you need to plug on on your cars system. the integra rack is also 5 lbs lighter....

dunno yet, as i have only been looking at them in the cars complete. i will most likely have to fab up some brackets, but i'll figure it out.

I just ordered the P/S rack, rear crossmember, LCA's, and shock forks so that I can do this swap in my EK...

any advice anyone can thorw my way. I have been told with the rear crossmember it is a bolt on affair.

Because I know that the teg/ek subframes are bolt up affairs but you can't bolt up a teg rack to an ek subframe. I'm sure you're well aware already.

 

it is my understanding that you cannot use (bolt in anyway) a eg/dc2 rack in an ek. if you have access to a welder, anything is possible.... in that case, just get a 00-03 s2k rack. it is the shortest honda rack ever made.

once the s2k rack in place (welded or bolted, whatever), what to do with the rest of the circuit ?? ...

i heard a lot about the "funny" feeling (like indirect, delayed, dont know how to explain) of the s2k steering, for it to be electrical...what do you guys think of it??

shooting off the top of my head (specs are on my home computer) the 00-03 st00k is 2.4 ltl, 13.8:1. they changed it in 04+ to 14.5:1.

Yah, I got the steering rack and the rear crossmember (sub-frame). You can't bolt the EG/DC rack to an EK rear crossmember, but you can bolt an EG/DC rear crossmember to an EK chassis. At least this is what I have been told by Hasport, then you can bolt the EG/DC steering rack on to my EG/DC sub-framed EK chassis. I just also have to switch out the LCA's and the strut forks.

Right?

P.S. what is teh going rate for the ITR rack? I picked up all of this stuff for $300 shipped...

So you picked up everything you need for the PS conversion for $300? I'd say that's not bad.

Yup, thank you Import Auto Salvage, that price was including shipping to CA I think he said it was $240 befor shipping.

And I already have P/S just wanted the ITR rack and the rear crossmember so I can get a little better clearance with my K swap.

anyone know if the P/S will be plug and play? I was just reading what Rodney said about the P/S line on the EG's. I am not to sure how many lines are on my OEM rack in my 99 DX hatch? Hopefully there is just 2 one to the pump and one to the resiviour?

 

TTT can't wait to see Jon V finishs his steering project. I'm also interested in doing that in future.
